I'm Sarah Landon, and I'm the Director of Eucaderm in Hove.  My interests and involvement started way back when I was 14 years old.  I had been suffering with a skin condition on my scalp which was getting worse and worse and thicker and thicker until it was impossible for me to hide it anymore.  I went to my doctor (who is a Dermatologist) time and time again and tried all sorts of lotions and potions only to find nothing worked and no referral was offered.  Luckily for me our neighbour knew someone who had worked with David Satchell.  So my Mum made me an appointment.

At the very first meeting with David he gave my condition a name, told me it was common and better still, curable.  The relief I felt was amazing as by this time I had started to be bullied due to not being able to hide it anymore.  As it was so severe it took time, dedication and a new routine at home to clear it but I was ready to try anything.  My mum and I started the 1 hour drive to Eastbourne  
everyday, 5 days a week, for 2 weeks so I could have a treatment.   
Then it was 2 - 3 times a week, then down to once a week.

The change was unbelievable and of course the change was in me too.  I was able to answer back to the bullies as I knew what was wrong which empowered me.  Don't get me wrong it wasn't and instant cure, it took time, but I was now in charge of it instead of the other way around.  David gave me a kit to use at home consisting of balms, cleansers, vitamins, shampoo and conditioners which with hard work and dedication from both David and I, we were able to cure my scalp of the condition. To this day I use the products to maintain healthy hair and scalp.

I then went travelling in 1998 for a year, and was having the time of my life, but one day in New Zeland I was washing my hair and it felt different as I was rinsing the out the conditioner.  To my horror I was left with 2 fists full of hair.  The majority of the back had fallen out and it had thinned everywhere else.  I was devastated as I couldn't think why this had happened.  Ok my diet wasn't as stable and as good as it could have been, but why this reaction? It turned out that an accumulation of things had triggered it, I took exams a couple of years before and I moved to America on my own all of which caused a degree of stress, and stress can take up to 5 years to manifest so it was a delayed reaction.

I contacted David and asked him to send my products out to Canada (where I was heading) and began treating myself again.  It had affected my confidence immensely and I wore a bandana most of the time.  I considered going home early, but decided that I would treat myself for the remaining couple of months then start treatments with David again once I was home.

When I did get home I brought a hair piece and began regular treatments with David and continued treating myself at home, in between.  It took the best part of 2 years to get it back and to length but with hard work and determination it all came back.

Unfortunately I went through a traumatic experience a couple of years later and exactly the same thing happened almost instantly.  I put on my hair piece again and this time was much more relaxed about it as I knew in time it would grow back and it did, this time a bit quicker which I believe was due to the fact that I was more relaxed.

So as you can imagine David and I became good friends over the years and I continued to go for maintenance treatments once every 1 - 2 months.  So when David said to me he wanted to open more clinics and was looking for the right people to open them.  I asked for more information as at the time I was a private maternity nurse and was looking for a change and a new challenge.  So here I am, running my own successful clinic in Hove helping people in similar or the same position, and its so rewarding to see the difference it can make to people and to see hair growing on clients who had been told numerous doctors and specialists that they will never get any hair back.
